Costs

The cost of the project in 2025 is estimated at 101 887 808 Ugandan shillings (approximately £21.246 or €24.521). This budget includes only the direct operational costs of the project. Participating students are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, food, immunisations and an administrative participation fee. As a result, more than 95% of all donations are used directly in Uganda to support project activities, with less than allocated 5% to administrative expenses. This level of efficiency is rare among international NGOs and reflects our commitment to maximising the impact of the NUV-HOP project.
Financing
The project is financed through a combination of targeted fundraising activities and private contributions. These fundraising efforts are organised to support the direct implementation of the project in Uganda.
Participating students independently cover their own travel and living expenses, ensuring that raised funds and donations can be fully directed towards project activities and local impact.
In addition to financial contributions, the project receives material and institutional support from local partners, including Youth Alive and Reproductive Health Uganda, strengthening the sustainability and local integration of the project.
